Michael has been involved in Eastern Woodland material culture since he began work at Ganondagan SHS in 1990. His work focuses on 17th and 18th century quillwork, hide painting, woodwork, war clubs, toboggans, clothing, beadwork, pipes, lacrosse sticks, cornhusk work, cradleboards, wampum, moccasins, braintanning, and rush decoys.
