Calvin Tanner was born on June 23, 1947 and grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio. He began making hunting bags, shot pouches, haversacks and accoutrements in 1980. Calvin is self-taught but has received influence and guidance from Jim Johnson, Mike Taylor, Steve Lailloff, Jeff Cline and Bob Steward. Calvin continues his work on a part time basis.
