My mother and father were of Mohawk and Eastern Band Cherokee Ancestry,as am I My work is heavily influenced by this and I try to honor and incorporate this into my work .My background is primarily in Cultural Anthropology and material culture,I have been educating the public for close to 25 years and became more interested in building what I was programming on,I still consider myself a student.And it's an honor to be part of this community of outstanding Artisans and craftspeople.My mentor Steve Ricker has been a great influence and source of information and encouragement,as hasShawn Webster...So I thank those whom I have had the privilege of gleaning information from and A really great friend and brother David Hughes who really encouraged me,whom I will greatly miss.Warmest regards.Franklin "Otsihsto"
