French Trade Pistol

Here’s a nice little piece of history up for grabs. This I believe is a French made Trade Pistol. it is .60 caliber with a surprising shiny bore showing little wear and good care. The lock works and so does the trigger. I do believe you could fire this piece. It has a 5 1/2″ barrel and has both front and rear sights. The ramrod is missing and one barrel pin. A few pieces of wood are missing. See the pictures. I wonder what the notches on the back of the pistol grip stand for. Really wish this one could talk. It wouldn’t take much to restore this one. Selling for an estate.
