Up for sale I have a nice 1861 Contract musket by William Mason. The stock is in excellent shape. Unfortunately, no cartouches are visible. The lock is very nicely stamped with the maker’s name. The barrel has scattered rusting. May clean better. Rifling is there but the bore is patchy. I believe the middle band is a replacement. It is making the ramrod very tight. It could use some rat tail filing around the channel. The ramrod came apart. I will include it. Maybe you can do a quick weld on it. Overall, a nice M1861 contract musket.
