Original Jaeger produced in Austria probably in the 1860’s to 1870’s. .62 caliber rifled bore that is smooth and shiny with strong lands and grooves. Excellent lock with a unique safety feature. This should still be a good shooter. It has a sliding wood patchbox. It is missing the sling stud in the bottom of the buttstock and a small screw from one of the barrel key plates. there is a small piece of wood missing from the barrel channel on the right side of the forearm. This was a working man’s gun, possibly for a game keeper on a big estate. See the pictures. I’m selling this for an estate. $1,200 plus shipping.
