The rifle partially stamped J Hillegas in block letters on the 41″ .45 cal barrel. Barrel is original length. missing first ramrod pipe and escutcheon, front part of trigger guard, a second escutcheon. Old inletted repairs at wrist.
The rifle has an original old untouched surface that could and should be preserved. This will be a nice signed upper Susquehanna rifle when finished. A good project for a restorer with some experience.
