Up for sale is a nice original Springfield M1795 Musket dated 1810. It is in very good condition. V/eagle head/P is very visible. There is a trace of the US stamp on top of barrel. The frizzen and pan are replacements as is possibly the hammer. The lock looks reconverted but the barrel does not look to be reconverted. Frizzen spring is missing its finial. Mainspring is VERY strong. No markings that I can see on the stock flat. Lockplate is marked script US over a (pitted) eagle and Springfield in a curve, with the 1810 date at the rear. The buttplate tang is marked 1810 but it is not original to the plate (too big and incorrect font) Here’s your chance at a nice musket for not an outrageous amount of money. PP to F&F is best as I am trying to avoid a 1099 (new IRS rules!!) See my feedback on Ebay and Gunbroker – nunzio747.
