Pair of French, Revolutionary War era officier’s pistols. 20 bore, octagonal to round, 9 3/4” barrels with partially flattened rib and light floral engraving at the breech. Brass hardware with tastefully engraved sideplate, triggerguard, and birds-head butt-caps. Round-face locks engraved “Leconte” with bridled pan. Stocks show numerous handling marks, with cracks at the sideplates. Mechanically fine. Bores with smooth oxidation and evidence of reconversion
