This Bedford 36 caliber rifle was built to showcase the aesthetic appeal of it’s length of 42 inch Colerain barrel. It is set in a curly maple #4 stock with stripes and banded colors. The stable stock and comfortable comb, matted to a light double trigger, minimizes shooting error. Being long, the barrel contributes to the consistent accuracy and grouping of target hits. The barrel is mated to an L&R Bedford double trigger and L&R Bedford lock. The rear trigger has an even easy pull and is 13 ¼ inches from the butt plate while the front is 14 ¼ inches. The sleek trigger guard and silver side plate accent the length and shape of the rifle. The butt plate, trigger guard, thimbles, nose cap, 6 discrete inlays, and toe piece are brass. A touch hole cleaner is underside of the cheek rest. A cleaning rod and striped hickory ram rod with jag tip is included. The patch box and toe plate have been engraved and there is an oak leaf relief carving on the butt. Along the fore-stock and wrist are incised grape motifs. All elements of this rifle contribute to its consistent medium to long range accuracy and hunting performance. This rifle is offered at $2,150.
