This is another incredibly unique, completely handmade and handsewn with waxed pure linen thread, leather hunting/shooting bag. This bag is a simple, early two piece design. This bag is made from 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide. The straps are made from 4-5oz veg tanned cowhide and aged hemp webbing. The bag measures approximately 9 inches wide at the middle and 9 inches from top to bottom when closed. The buckle strap measure 13 1/2 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features an aged solid brass buckle. The long strap measures 52 1/2 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features 9 holes for adjustment. The long strap is made from leather and aged hemp webbing. The bag features include, a large inside pocket, a bound main pocket edge, a pewter button, and has been sewn and bound around the outside edge. I added some tooling to the flap as well. The straps and bag have both been given a black color. I used a period correct oil and beeswax finish.
Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed, and finished by hand, no machines or assembly line methods used at all just to save time.
