Here is a very nice foraging bag / axe combination for your next trip to the field.
The bag is made from vegetable tanned calfskin and stained a deep mahogany color. It is completely hand stiched with brown linen thread. The front panel is a stained linen material backed with leather. The flap is also backed with leather while the remainder of the bag is lined with a stained canvas. It measures 12 1/2″ wide X 12 1/4″ deep measured from center to center. It has a full gusset with a brass buckle closure. I have added a leather flange between all seams for durability. The strap is double brass buckled for even adjustability on the shoulder.
The belt axe measures 4″ across with a 2″ cutting surface blade. The handle measures 14 1/2″ measured from end to end. I have constructed a leather sheath to protect the head. The strap is double brass buckled also.
