Haversack Game Bag with Rustic Bark Tanned Deer Flap
Here is a new haversack style/forage bag I handmade, “inspired” by the late 18th and early 19th century hunting accoutrements. My bags are a combination of both traditional and contemporary designs. The bag is made from a heavy dyed and aged duct fabric and fully lined with an exterior pocket. All hand-stitching done with natural linen and hemp beeswaxed thread.
The flap is a stiff piece of bark tanned deer retaining some hair along the edges. The center has an incised folk art cross design.
The bag measures 12×14 and has an adjustable rustic deer and jute combination strap with hand forged buckle.
This would make a wonderful addition for anyone into Muzzleloading…hunting…reenacting…or as a beautiful art wall hanging decor.
Please note these are durable bags and the flap artwork is permanent. They are strong enough to carry your personal items in the field.
