Haversack with Linen Flap and Circular Vine/Leaf and Heart motif

Here is a new haversack style/forage bag I handmade, “inspired” by the late 18th and early 19th century hunting/shooting accoutrements and decorated with a natural linen flap ( from The Old Tattered Flag Co.) and beautifully embroidered with a Folk Art circular leaf/vine design and heart motif. My bags are based on a combination of both traditional / historic motifs and contemporary designs. My wife Janet crafted this entire bag. The body of the bag is made from a colonial plaid windowpane wool fabric and fully lined with a double interior pocket. All hand-stitching done with natural linen and hemp beeswaxed thread.
The bag measures 10×12 with a 58” hand-woven loom strap that I purchased from an artist at a Colonial trades fair ($50)
This would make a wonderful addition for anyone into Muzzleloading…hunting…reenacting…or as a beautiful art wall hanging decor.
