This fine creation is made from many period correct materials. The body and strap are 2 to 3 ounce cowhide that are both fully lined with brain tanned buckskin. The lower flap is real beavertail, trimmed and lined with more buckskin. The body of the bag measures 8” tall by 7” wide, with a 1” gusset and fringe made from buckskin. There is a 2.5” x 5” interior pocket for cards, money, or small items.
The upper flap is decorated with six trade beads and dyed deer tail hair cones. Exquisite quillwork decorates the flap, body, and full length of the strap. The strap is further embellished with bone beads along the stitching. The strap is made adjustable with a hand forged iron buckle. This entirely hand-crafted bag will make a fine addition to your collection.
