We recently visited Gettysburg. In addition to a wonderful weekend with friends, we acquired a vintage pouch. I was smitten with several features: the flap, the variety of leather weights used, and it’s shape and size.
I HAD to make my version of it , and here it is. I did modify how the strap attached since it was an obvious repair anyway, and not part of its original design, but kept the buckles on both sides. Also I eliminated the rivets from when it was repaired.
Has a welt and 2 forged buckles. Strap ends mirror the flap.
Measures 7 1/2”x 8”.
$230 plus $18 shipping and insurance

Both Jeff and Shelly are reenactors who began by creating items for themselves. They attend many living history events a year. In their free time they piddle around their farm where they make wines, ales, and fill their pantry with home-canned items. They can be found hunting, trapping , and fishing. Sometimes, they incorporate their trophies in their custom work.
