Product Description

This unique bag has a single main compartment measuring 8″ tall, by 7″ wide at the top and 8 1/2″ wide at the bottom. Additionally, there is a small 3″ x 5″ interior pocket. The scalloped flap has beautiful quillwork in a Native American theme of the sun and moon with a Thunderbird over mankind. On the inside, the flap is lined with brain tanned, smoked buckskin, while the bag is fully lined with navy blue/tan cotton pillow ticking material. The edge of the main opening is also trimmed in matching buckskin.

This bag is made from oxblood colored 2-3 oz. veg tan goat skin (known as “Moroccan Leather” in the 18th Century) for supple, yet very durable wear, and is all hand stitched. The 1-3/8″ hand-woven strap is made from wool and is adjustable in 1″ increments with a hand-forged iron buckle.
