This bag was inspired by a bag in Jim Webb’s book on pouches from the Southern Appalachian Region. Webb noted that he thought it might have been a repurposed saddle bag. It also reminds me of a particular style Civil War haversack.
The bag is made from heavy barktanned deer skin, not commercially tanned leather. Hand stitched and is 6 inches wide by 8 inches deep. The buckles are antique harness buckles. Asking $120.00 price includes shipping and handling, paypal is an option.
