Here is a new haversack style/forage bag I handmade, “inspired” by the late 18th and early 19th century hunting accoutrement.
This a large plain undecorated bag made to hold personal items… food…etc. offered with no artwork or folk motifs.
The bag is made from a heavy blue pillow ticking fabric dyed in walnut hulls and fully lined with a double interior pocket. All hand-stitching done with natural linen and hemp beeswaxed thread.
The bag measures 14×15 with a 55” walnut hull dyed jute strap backed with unraveled ticking.
Flap has 3 hand stitched buttonholes and pewter buttons.
This would make a wonderful addition for anyone into Muzzleloading…hunting…reenacting…or as a beautiful art wall hanging decor.
This is a strong bag to carry your personal items in the field.
