This is another incredibly unique, completely handmade and handsewn with pure waxed linen thread, leather hunting/shooting bag. This bag is made from 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide. The straps are made from 5-6oz veg tanned cowhide as well. The bag measures 8 1/4 inches wide at the middle and 9 3/4 inches from top to bottom when closed. The buckle strap measures 12 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features an aged solid brass buckle. The long strap measures 53 1/4 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features 8 holes for adjustment. The bag features include, a pewter button, a full welt, a large inside pocket, trim along the main pocket edge, a leather lined flap, and a period correct oil and beeswax/lampblack finish. I have given the bag a look of age and a black color. I used a combination of leather dye and vinegaroon to achieve the look.
Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed, and finished by hand, no machines or assembly line methods used at all just to save time.
