This is another one of a kind, completely handmade and handsewn, 18th century leather hunting or shooting bag. This bag is made from 3-4oz veg tanned cowhide. The straps are made from 4-5oz veg tanned cowhide. The bag measures 8 3/4 inches wide and 10 inches from top to bottom. The buckle strap measures 13 1/2 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features an aged solid brass buckle. The long strap measures 54 inches long, 1 1/4 inches wide, and features 7 holes for adjustment. The bag features include, an inside pocket, red leather trim around the flap and main pocket, a pewter button, and a traditional vinegaroon stain. I have also used a traditional beeswax/lamp black finish on the bag.
Everything has been done completely by hand. It has been cut, sewn with waxed linen thread, dyed, and finished by hand, no machines used at all.
