Product Description

This gun was custom made by Bruce LePage in 1986. The original owner’s name is engraved on the buttplate. It has been fired a few times with the .58 barrel but the other two barrels are unfired. Overall it is in near mint condition. This gun is truly a museum quality piece.

This gun is a very nice high-end English gun that would have been for a gentleman of the 18th century. It has three custom made barrels. They are 35″ oct-round in .60 rifled and two in 12 gauge smoothbore. All are deeply browned. The gun is stocked in highly figured English walnut and sterling silver mounted. Bruce handmade the lock and left it polished bright. The barrels have hooked breeches and wedges for easy removal for cleaning and changing barrels. The wrist is checkered with stamps in the center of the squares. All of the silver parts were cast or fabricated by Bruce. About two pounds of silver was used to make all of the parts. The wood was lightly stained to bring out the red hue and then multiple coats of hand rubbed oil finish was applied.

Bruce started off doing blacksmithing, found he could make more money as a gunsmith and then became a master engraver where his skill is renown. This gun shows off Bruce’s engraving skills very nicely.

The gun was featured on the cover of the August 1988 Muzzle Blasts magazine and on the brochure for the NMLRA.
Comes in a heavy-duty Kalispel aluminum case. Weight is 8 lbs. 12 ozs. Length of pull is 14½”.
