Here is another beautiful gun recently completed by Bernard Riendeau.
Bernard has built several guns for us and each one is better than the last. His talents in carving, and now wire inlay work, are outstanding, as you can see. We have combined his talents along with castings copied from an original Carslbad Jaeger rifle from the Ron Scott Collection. These are beautifully detailed, chisel engraved pieces, that are a work of art in themselves. When combined with Bernard’s outstanding Rococo relief carving and extensive wire inlay work, the result is a truly one of a kind rifle.
We’ve used all the best in parts for this fine piece: American black walnut stock, an RE Davis Jaeger lock with a polished brass frame and polished steel parts, a polished steel Colerain 62 cal swamped jaeger barrel with radius grooved rifling and RE Davis adjustable double set triggers. Even the sliding wood patch box has a relief chisel engraved lid and this fine rifle comes equipped with a sling swivel and button for comfortable carry.
