This is a NC.54 caliber/ .28 gauge smooth rifle
I built this rifle based on an original Robert Hughes smooth rifle hanging over my dear friend Mr Ward’s fireplace.
The barrel is custom by Rice it’s a 44″ B-wieght swamped octagon
The lock is ab L&R Durr’s Egg
Davis #4 trigger set
Stocked in nice piece of curly sugar maple
The hardware is true to Robert’s original piece and is finished to aged gray patina
The length of pull is 13&3/4″
Weight 7 pounds making her eazy to carry
Loaded with shot for turkey, rabbit , squirrel , grouse or quail and patch a round ball your ready for deer , bear and elk. Pretty versatile hunting gun.
