Rifle was built by Nathan Stephenson of Columbia TN. It was built in the mindset of a transitional rifle by someone with obvious European training. It is stocked with a beautiful piece of maple with some figure throughout. As you can see it is relief carved behind the cheekpiece, along with the sliding wood box, along with the entry thimble, the lock panels, and behind the tang. There is also a bores head/hunting theme engraving on the butt plate.
The barrel is a Colerain “Early Transitional” profile D weight in .62 Cal. The lock is an R E Davis/Pere Allen “Early Germanic”. The triggers are also RE Davis’s “Early Double Set” that have been slightly modified. The trigger guard is a Reeves Number 34 and the other brass parts were made or modified by Nathan. LOP is 13.5 inches. There is a Coin Silver inlay on the wrist that has a script “M”…my last initial.
I am asking 2800.00 for this rifle and my preference would be to deliver this rifle in person. If you wish to have the rifle shipped you will have to pay the cost of shipping and handling. You may reach me here or you may call me 606-308-4570
