Carved Spout Powder Horn
This horn measures 13” overall with a 2½” diameter base.
It features a 1½” spout carved into an octagonal form. The base corners are chip-carved, and the panels are fluted toward the tip. The spout is finished with a nicely raised collar for secure strap retention.
The base plug is turned from cherry and decorated with concentric rings. It has been stained using a period lye method and hollowed on the interior to reduce weight and increase capacity.
