This one is based on a horn on pages 292-293 in Dr. Hopkins book, “Bone Tipped & Banded Horns Pt I”. It is listed with the “Virginia Miscellaneous” horns. It is 16″ around the outside curve and 12 1/2″ tip-to-tip. The Butt is Walnut, it is 2 1/8″ in diameter and held in by the same 3 Iron pins that hold the base band in place. The tip is turned and carved from one piece of Whitetail antler, there are 8 small panels around the small loop that was probably had a line connected to the tip.
