Product Description

This little beauty measures about 12” around the outside of the double twist horn. The horn body is caramel colored and still remains translucent after a period correct stain was applied. The spout has been carved in a trumpet shape.

The turnip-shaped base plug is turned from cherry. It has been hollowed inside to reduce weight and increase powder capacity. The plug is held in place by wooden square shoe pegs.

This little gem would pair well with a southern mountain rifle or a Carolina style rifle.

Both Jeff and Shelly are reenactors who began by creating items for themselves.  They attend many living history events a year.  In their free time they piddle around their farm where they make wines, ales, and fill their pantry with home-canned items.  They can be found hunting, trapping , and fishing.  Sometimes, they incorporate their trophies in their custom work.
