My interpretation of an early Scottish sgian-dubh, with the blade based off photos of an original. The handle is made from bog oak, which the seller stated to be several thousand years old. It is dense, and a unique, uniform black all the way through. The blade is 1095 steel and takes a keen edge. This sgian-dubh comes with a nicely fitted vegetable tanned leather sheath. Originally used for eating and as a concealed self-defense weapon, the sgian-subh is small and thus ideal for the shooting bag. The overall length of 8″, blade is 4″. $165 plus $10 shipping. Money order, check, or PayPal.
