This is a very nice boy’s rifle by M. Berry. It was made many years ago but has seen very little use and is in excellent condition inside and out.

This rifle is stocked in a piece of very nice curly maple that that is stained to a nice medium reddish brown. The hardware is brass and the thimbles, sideplate, nosecap and patchbox are handmade by the builder. The barrel is probably a custom Ed Rayl 32″ long with a slight swamp in .40 caliber. The bore is in excellent condition with deep radius groove rifling and there is a touch hole liner. The lock is a nice one that was marketed by Dixie Gun Works many years ago and is a very reliable lock with a fast action. The steel parts have an aged brown/grey color. Overall it is in excellent condition. Total length is 45½” long. Holds and balances very nicely. Weight is 4 lbs. 10 oz. Pull is 12½”.

This is a very nice American style pistol by Ron Dietz of Wisconsin. It is an exceptional piece of work for the price. This pistol is stocked in a piece of nice Birdseye maple that that is stained to a nice light brown which brings out the figure in the wood. The hardware is brass and has a hand-polished satin finish. The barrel is a tapered Rice, 12¾” long in .45 caliber. This length makes it legal to hunt with in several states now. There is a touch hole liner. The lock is a L&R Manton style. The barrel has a deep brown color while the lock has a brilliant fire-blued finish. The engraving is very well done and the decorative carving is crisp and nicely styled. The front sight has been left high so the new owner can sight it in to their taste. This is a new gun and has not been fired. Inlets are tight and well done. Holds and balances very nicely. Weight is 2 lbs. 9 oz.

This 54 caliber flintlock rifle models early colonial Virginian design elements. These include the Chambers Colonial Virginian lock, early VA trigger guard, butt-plate, full size side plate, and J.Sheetz patch-box. The rifled barrel gives solid dependability, consistent accuracy, and reliability. This rifle is built for brush and timber hunting performance with a barrel length of 36 inches. All furniture pieces are brass, with the exception of the pewter steel VA lock(flint included). The Colerain 36in. x 15/16th barrel has been browned. The best curly maple #4 stock has an outstanding tiger stripe. The ram rod is striped, has brass tip an includes a wad puller and cleaning rod supplied. The Davis trigger has a pull length of 13 ¼ to the rear trigger and 14 ¼ inches to the front trigger. The toe plate is by M.Fry and the double thumb print thimbles are octagonal. Six fancy inlays adorn the forestock and the chevron nose piece completes the front furniture. A compliment of metal engraving on the side plate, patch box and toe plate are indicative of the engravings of the time. Additionally, there are incised grape wood designs on the fore-stock and a tasteful oak relief design on the butt stock. A rifle of this caliber will bring down elk, moose, and deer with one clean shot. This rifle (not fired) features all the elements of a Virginian rifle and is offered at the price of $2,850 with free shipping in a plywood box within the continental USA. Additional pictures would be provided on request. Please contact me at patchbox1776@gmail.com
