The barrel measures 31″ in length and appears to be 12 ga.. The bore is quite usable and appears to have been lightly honed in the past. The lock functions well and this Fowler should be very usable, but I haven’t fired it. The stock has a very minor crack at the back of the lock that shows an old repair. There is a small chip at the toe of the buttplate that measures 1/8 X 1/8″. The rest of the stock is sound with the usual bumps and dings for its age. There is some writing on the top barrel flat that I can’t make out. the breech plug still shows color case and has a silver band. The entry pipe, trigger guard, buttplate, tang, and lock still retain 70 to 80% of their finish. This Fowler was used but not abused. The ramrod appears to be original. the checkering is visible but worn. If you have any question or need additional pictures contact me at 316-788-9710.
