This is a beautiful example of the finished version of our K-31 Jacob Dubbs Bucks county long rifle. This beauty is in 45 cal using a Rice swamped B weight 42” barrel inlet to a heavily figured cherry stock and trimmed in brass. As you can see from these pictures the stock has amazing character. It is finished in multiple coats of hand rubbed oil for a deep lustrous finish. When taken out in the sun this gun looks like it’s on FIRE!
The trim pieces are in antiqued brass with the Baroque engraving cast right in. These are cast from originals imported from Germany and used by several gunsmiths in the colonies including Jacob Dubbs, Isaac Haines, Kunz and others.
The lock is Larry Zornes Continental flintlock provided by RE Davis. It is nicely engraved and sculpted showing its Germanic Heritage. It is tripped by a simple high pinned trigger for an easy pull. It fires into a drilled and coned vent perfectly located in the “sunrise” position for sure-fire ignition.
This gun is brand new and unfired ready for its first proud owner. It is on consignment at a very modest $1999 including shipping.
