Tom retired in 1994 and decided to learn gunstocking of muzzleloaders as a hobby during retirement. As of July 1999, he had completed 30 guns. For the most part these are styled after Virginia Gunsmiths with a few in the Pennsylvania style (Lancaster, Lehigh).
